NMAHA will host four (4) age-split Stick & Puck games in June at The MAC. Essentially these will be "scrimmages" and a chance to just let the kids get on the ice & play - with limited coaching unless requested.
The age-specific groups will be 10 & Under (down to age 5) and 11 and older (up to age 15) to keep the level of play "mostly" even. Each age-specific group will have two events, alternating on Mondays from 6:15pm to 7:15pm.
There will be at least one NMAHA coach on the ice per session to manage the "game" (help sort teams, split the ice if-needed, manage puck drops, enforce the USA Hockey Code of Conduct, etc.).
Who: ANY local players registered with USA Hockey ages 5 to 15 split at Squirts & below (10 & under), and Peewees & above (11 & older). Exceptions can be made for more-experienced younger players to play up on a case-by-case basis.
When: Mondays in June 2023, 6:15-7:15pm
* Age will be determined the same way it is during the season: based on the age of the player on December 31st of this year (2023).
Cost: $15/player per session - payable via the NMAHA Venmo account or directly to our NMAHA Treasurer (check/cash) if Venmo is not desired.
