A current 2025-26 USA Hockey registration is required: No player can be registered without it. If you have already registered for next season with USA Hockey, please simply have the number handy. (There is a link to USA Hockey in the Registration as-needed for this or [CLICK HERE])

NOTE: USA Hockey increased their Registration Fees for the 2025-26 season | plus $10 or $15 (based on player's age) to our parent/state association (Land Of Enchantment Amateur Hockey Association (LOEAHA)).

Using a browser (i.e. Chrome or Edge) has proven to have the best results when registering (preferably on a desktop/laptop, can work in a phone browser).

There is an expectation that one parent per player family will volunteer for an additional game role:

Scorekeeper
Timekeeper
Penalty Box Monitor
Locker Room Monitor

There is additional training tied to these - and all must register with USA Hockey (no cost for Volunteers).  The Scorekeeper & Timekeeper training will be in mid-October at the MAC (class for Scorekeeper for the new GameSheet app this season; in the rink for Timekeeper to connect the laptop to the new scoreboards). 

Penalty Box Monitor and Locker Room Monitor must also complete a background screening (no longer covered by LOEAHA) and the SafeSport certification.  All details found on the Volunteering page HERE.

The Season Cost charts are also listed below for 6U thru 16U (we will not have the numbers to field an 18U team again this season).  Due to ice and referee costs going up, the season costs did go up minimally as well.

=============== PAYMENT OPTIONS ===============

The default payment option will be Pay in Full. There will still be the Payment Plan option to choose as well (except for Varsity as they will be PRACTICES only with us & play GAMES with Santa Fe this season).

Payment Plan
We (NMAHA) had to recreate the 5-month payment plan in SportsEngine this season as they changed it to a 4-month plan by default. For NMAHA, it will remain FIVE total payments due on the 4th of each month starting after the month you register. 

For example, if you register in August, the first payment will come out on September 4th and the final payment will come out on January 4th. 

If you register after September 5th (but before October 4th), the first payment will be on October 4th and generally match to our season (October thru February, with the final payment on February 4th). 

If you register late - like after November 4th, the first payment will be on December 4th and the last payment will be on April 4th (after our season is over).  There is not a way to lock the payment plan to our season months - it depends on when you register!

Please ensure the payment method/card you use will be functional for the FULL 5-Month duration of the payment plan.  If your payment on the 4th of any month is late, your player(s) will not be able to go onto the ice for practices until it is completed. 

Also remember that Uniform items (jersey & socks) are due UP FRONT (either as part of the Pay in Full option or in addition to the $50 initial payment + processing if using the Payment Plan).

To complete registration payment through our secure site, please have your Visa or MasterCard information available. If your card will expire during the season and you are on the Payment Plan, please work with our Treasurer to ensure the new card is applied once you have it.

============= CHANGING ASSOCIATIONS? =============

If you are moving to NMAHA from another Association in New Mexico, the Player Agreement process has been updated.  A Player Agreement is necessary when a player is 

• a) dual registered for teams in two youth hockey associations of the Land of Enchantment Amateur Hockey Association regardless of competitive/recreation/house level; or
• b) requesting a release and transfer from one youth hockey association to another. 

There is an online form we (NMAHA) will initiate with the player/parent(s) if and when applicable before the season begins in late-September).  You will see this initial information gathered in the Player Information section of the registration for all "Experienced Players" that are new to NMAHA.

* Please note: Generally, Fundraising WILL be necessary during the season in order to cover/reduce the costs of ice (practices & games), Year-End Festivals (6U-14U)/Tournaments (16U), any 6U/8U Jamborees and so on.

===== High School is now 16U/18U =====

As of the LOEAHA (state affiliate over all local Associations) quarterly meeting in May 2024, what was High School hockey as Junior Varsity and Varsity under RMHSHA rules will now align under USA HOCKEY as 16U/18U going forward in the state of New Mexico and will follow the USAH rules going forward (playing up, etc.).

Unfortunately we will still NOT have the numbers to field an 18U team this season.  Please reach out to Santa Fe Hockey Association as an alternative.

=============== UNIFORMS ===============

We are NOT planning to change our jersey/sock vendor again this year - those costs should stay the same as last season.

We FINALLY added a white (AWAY) jersey for Mini-Mite (6U)/Mite (8U) thru Midget (16U) Scorpions in the 2024-25 Season!  There will be options to cover new Red and/or White jerseys & socks in the 2025-26 Season Registration.

Please plan to account for the uniform requirements in your registration (cost is still $55 for the jersey, $30 per pair of socks).  Additional game socks will still be a selectable option as well ($30/pair).

Please register as soon as possible so we can add your player(s) to our team rosters for the 2025-26 season.

Registration* discounts are available for specific roles: 

• Head Coaches (TBD by the NMAHA Coach-in-Chief (CiC), approved by the Board)
• First TWO Assistant Coaches (To be confirmed by the CiC & Head Coach at each level)
• Any Board Member (via Discount Code to be entered at checkout)
• Team Managers (TBD & welcomed by the VP & Head Coach at each level)
• Anyone with multiple players registering with NMAHA will receive the Early Bird pricing on EACH player's registration fee until 8/31. As of 9/1/25 the Multi-Child discount ($25) will only apply to each ADDITIONAL registration in the cart after the first.

*The Head Coach, Assistant Coach, and Team Manager discounts can ONLY be applied to the level the role is being served for (as noted in the NMAHA Handbook). i.e. Cannot be the 6U Manager and apply the discount to your 12U player, it must be applied to your 6U player.

**The $25.00 Multi-Child discount will be applied automatically this season AFTER the first registration starting 9/1/25 when you checkout.  You will have the option to register another player on the last page of the "Suggested Add-Ons" part at the end of the registration.
For August the "Early Bird" pricing will apply to ALL registrations in your cart!

Any other applicable Coaching or Manager discounts will be applied retroactively via our Treasurer once the role requirements are met:

          + Background screening and SafeSport for Coaches and Managers

          + Age-appropriate Module(s) for Coaches only

          + Once approved, register on the Coach/Manager Registration (to be assigned to your team in SE)

We will email the link to the NMAHA Coach/Manager Registration once your role is approved so it can be completed & you will be rostered to the team you will manage afterwards.

You will submit your registration normally and check out, then - again - will have your discount applied retroactively via our Treasurer once the requirements are met.

Scholarship Funds are available by application!

1. Applicant(s) shall complete and submit the Scholarship application by October 2nd, 2025.  The maximum registration discount will be 30% and determined based on need for each applicant.

3. Each application is reviewed by the NMAHA Board of Directors and kept strictly confidential.

The NMAHA Treasurer will notify the applicant in writing as to the board’s decision ON or ABOUT October 15th, 2025 (after the BOD Meeting).
