BEFORE the 2024-25 season starts (ASAP if after September 30th, 2024) AND BEFORE taking the ice (for coaching roles).

AS A MANAGER OR COACH I MUST:
 

• Complete the NMAHA Coach/Manager Registration (CLICK HERE)

AND...

• Complete the current SafeSport training or refresher  (required every year). 

There isn't a certificate to save any longer.  This training resets every August/September - so it is recommended to knock this out in September before the season starts the first week of October.  There's still no cost on this training & it MUST be done via the USA Hockey site to get reported back to NMAHA once completed. (CLICK HERE - Create an account if necessary)

Once into the USA Hockey Courses site, look down under the "Coaching:" section there's a gray box noting "Coaching E-learning and SafeSport training : Click here" - that's the direct way in.

You can also click on the "My Profile" tab at the top & choose "Coaching Information" in the gray box. this will show your CEP #, Certification Level (& when it expires), all age modules completed (see below) and there's a gray box under SafeSport for training/renewals - this is another way to get to and complete this training.

RENEWING SafeSport:
If you have already completed SafeSport before and need to renew - you should receive an email noting these details:

If you are a coach or an official go to https://courses.usahockey.com/public/
Log in with your user name and password
On the home screen click link to go to "Coach eLearning" - Safe Sport Training should be listed
Follow the steps on the Learning page to enroll in next course

If you are a player or volunteer (including Manager) go to https://membership.usahockey.com/member/login
Log in with your confirmation number and password
On the home screen click the Go To Training and follow the steps to enroll in next course

• Verify that my background screening is in good standing:

AND FOR ALL COACHES:

• Complete the Age Modules Training for the level(s) I'm coaching at BEFORE I can go on the ice
• Plan to Complete my CEP Coaching Clinic BEFORE 12/31/24 (in order to still go on the ice after 1/1/25)
