Coaching Resources

Through the USAH American Development Model (ADM site), coaches will find what you need for:

  • Age-Appropriate Courses (these are NOT the Age Modules req'd for coaching!)
  • Practice Plans
  • Dryland Training
  • Education

There are also more under Other Resources: FAQ, Mobile Coach App, & Goaltending.

Below are additional hockey resources, outside of USA Hockey, that can help develop your coaching style through practice plans, drills and hockey sense.

Ice Hockey Systems (IHS)

As of the 2023-24 Season, NMAHA has a full account for coaches to utilize! Reach out to the NMAHA webmaster (nmaha.domain@gmail.com) for more info or to confirm access.

Check the "Good to Go" Background Screening List on the LOEAHA site:  GOOD TO GO 2024-2025 (newmexicohockey.org)
If you need to submit for a new screening, click here: Background Screen (usahockey.com) - there could be a cost (it's gone back & forth the past couple of years...)

Check your SafeSport Training Status - I recommend going directly to the U.S. Center for SafeSport Training here:

Coaches - USAHockey Courses (requires Login)
Volunteers - USA Hockey Member HQ (requires Login)

If you don't recall your username or password (or both) use the links to verify these & reset as-needed.
